6th. International Conference on Research of Agricultural and Food Technologies (SDGs-2-15 )

The conference will be held on September 22-24, 2026 at at Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
I-CRAFT 2026 aims to bring together researchers, academics, industry experts, and professionals working in the fields of agriculture, food technologies, agricultural engineering, and sustainable development. The conference will provide an international platform for presenting innovative research results, exchanging scientific knowledge, and fostering global collaboration.

The Kazakh National Agrarian Research University was established on the basis of two well-known universities in Kazakhstan – the Alma-Ata Zoo-Veterinary Institute and the Kazakh Agricultural Institute , which have their own history.

Alma-Ata Zoo-Veterinary Institute

In 1929, the Veterinary Institute was established by the Decree of the Council of People’s Commissars of the RSFSR. It was the first agricultural and second higher educational institution in Kazakhstan. It was located in the building of the former Verny men’s gymnasium (now Aiteke bi, 28). On the basis of the Veterinary Institute, the Alma-Ata Zoo-Veterinary Institute was created, which included the departments of zoology, botany, physics and mathematics, inorganic and analytical chemistry, and physiology of farm animals.

In the 10–14th Centuries CE, communities in what is now Kazakhstan’s Almaty Region became part of the trade routes of the Silk Road. That legacy continues today, with Kazakhstan acting as a crucial hub for international trade.
