Oscar Octavio Fernández Cutire, PhD in Fruit Growing, has more than 20 years of research experience in Plant Biotechnology and Physiology. He is currently Director of the Institute for Research in Agrobiotechnology and Genetic Resources and Head of the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory at the Jorge Basadre Grohmann National University, where he has also been a university lecturer since 1983.
